After meeting Bradford Harris at EdCamp TABSE in Houston, TX recently, I KNEW I had to sit down with him. You can watch our interview in the VLOG section of this site. Bradford is passionate about teacher growth and determined to make a difference for kids. I could tell by his timely contributions to our EdCamp sessions. The TABSE conference was a gathering of Black school educators from across the state of Texas, which meant that this EdCamp was the perfect place for me to meet up with educators of color looking to impact students from a cross section of backgrounds. Bradford is such an educator and a tech specialist to boot! After being a classroom teacher for six years, he wanted to continue his professional growth and did so by being an early adopter of the technology in education movement. When the opportunity to share what he knew with other teachers in his area arrived he jumped at it! Currently, he is the Instructional Technology Specialist at Eckert Intermediate for Aldine ISD. He spends his days providing teacher education, support, and guidance. He is also a blogger, vlogger, and conference organizer! You can catch up with Bradford by visiting his website www.edtechtinker.com AND you can follow him on Twitter @EdTechTinker. Tell him Dr. Kia sent you!
